DESCRIPTION:The Secretariat of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is pleased to inform the\nnon-governmental organizations receiving the present communication that the IAEA will hold the\nInternational Conference on Advances in Radiation Oncology (ICARO-4) (hereinafter referred to\nas “event”) to be held at the IAEA’s Headquarters in Vienna\, Austria\, from 2 to 5 June 2025. \nThe purpose of the event is to discuss and define the current role and future potential of technological\,\nmedical physics and molecular/biological innovations for routine clinical practice in patient-centred\nradiation oncology. The conference will serve as a forum for the dissemination and exchange of\nscientific knowledge and best practices in the implementation of technological advances while\nprioritizing the needs and preferences of patients with cancer. \nThe event will be held in English. \nThe organizations receiving the present communication are invited to disseminate the attached\nAnnouncement and Call for Papers to the target audience for the event and to designate participants\nusing the InTouch+ platform\, as indicated in Section H. Submissions of papers using InTouch+ can only\nbe considered if received by the deadline indicated in Section O of the Announcement and Call for\nPapers. Organizations are strongly encouraged to designate women participants. \nIt should be noted that compensation is not payable by the IAEA for any damage to or loss of personal\nproperty. The IAEA also does not provide health insurance coverage for participants in events.\nArrangements for private insurance coverage on an individual basis should therefore be made. The\nIAEA will\, however\, provide insurance coverage for accidents and illnesses that clearly result from any\nwork performed for the IAEA
