Minutes of the 1st Executive Meeting, AFOMP

The first executive meeting of the Executive members and Chairs Committee, AFOMP, was held on 20 March, 2019 at 8:00 GMT through Skype virtually. Prof. Dr. Arun Chougule, President, AFOMP presided over the meeting. The following members participated in the virtual meeting:

Agenda-01: Upcoming AOCMP 2019 conference in Kuwait
Discussion:
AOCMP 2019 website is need to be updated for the abstract, program schedule, theme, session topic, invited speakers etc
Decision:
- Dr. Tomas Kron Chair, Science Committee, AFOMP will provide a draft idea regarding session topic, theme to Dr Meshari, Organizing Secretary, AOCMP 2019. Then the local organizing committee of AOCMP 2019 will take further actions regarding local coordination.
- From the last week of April, General Secretary [GS], AFOMP will circulate travel grants, other scientific information of AOCMP 2019 to NMOs and also will be put on AFOMP website.
- President, AFOMP will send the MoU between AFOMP and MEFOMP joint conference to Chair science committee, AFOMP.
Agenda-02: Prof. K. Inamura Oration
Decision:
The information seeking nominations for Prof. Kiyonari Inamura Memorial AFOMP Oration award for 2019 will be circulated to NMOs in the 3rd week of April and will also be put on AFOMP website.
Once the nominations are received the award committee will take appropriate decision and will communicate to AFOMP EXCOM and after approval of will be communicated to awardee as well as to organizer for necessary arrangements.
Agenda-03: ETC Chair, AFOMP
Discussion:
Prof. Eva has contacted about 10 persons in New Zealand and Australia for ETC Chair. But no one shows interested. Also Dr Kwan has approached to some MPs of Indonesia, Korea, Thailand. Etc. In the mean time Kwan has contacted Dr. Supriyanto A Pawiro for ETC chair. It is appreciated to take active members of those countries of Asia Oceania region for ETC committee who till now nowhere in others committee as well as in EC.
Decision:
Prof. Arun will decide the final nominated person for ETC chair.
Agenda-04: Frequency of EC meeting AFOMP
Decision:
Every four months EC meetings will be held. The probable months will be April (Skype online), August (Skype online), November (AFOMP congress) and in case of need/urgency with short notice a Skype meeting can be held as and when required.
The next meeting will be held on the 3rd week of April, Tentative date 16th April, 2019. Dr. Meshari, OC AOCMP 2019 will be asked to attend in this meeting.
Agenda-05: Fund Raising for AFOMP
Suggestion:
To provide training, travel grants to the meritorious MP students or any award, we need to apply for fund in different international organizations. Each one of us will make efforts to contact with companies/ funding agencies, for raising the AFOMP fund to run the activities smoothly.
Agenda-06: Travel Grant AOCMP 2019, AFOMP
Dr. Kwan, Treasure has informed AFOMP could provide USD 500 x 6 travel awards for AOCMP2019 as per the criteria and SG will put the notification in the month of June 2019.
